To mark World Ostomy Day, we’re holding an online Insights Day to explore national trends and emerging themes in urinary diversion care, and what these mean for urostomates and those involved in their care.

Speaker profiles:
Jasmine King is a urology nurse specialising in benign urological conditions. She has a special interest in Ketamine and it’s effects on the bladder. She takes part in research and has given many talks to fellow health professionals about this issues.
Jackie MPhail has specialised in stoma care nursing since 1985 and is currently working as an Honorary Stoma Care Nurse at the Royal Marsden Hospital. She has a postgraduate certificate in advance nursing practice and was previously Honorary Secretary for the Association of Stoma Care Nurses.
Rebecca Porta is the Chief Executive of The Urology Foundation, driving innovation and change in urological health. Passionate about improving lives, Rebecca champions cutting-edge research and better care for patients. In her presentation, she outlines The Urology Foundation’s new research strategy and how this underpins the organisation’s mission to improve urology health and transform lives.
Jonathan Scott is the Chair of the Dispensing Appliance Contractors (DACs) section of the BHTA which represents contractors who supply medical devices via NHS prescriptions. With a strong background in healthcare and business leadership, Jonathan plays a key role in advocating for regulatory compliance and promotes the delivery of high standards of patient care. His expertise helps guide the sector in navigating challenges related to healthcare policy and service delivery.
Samantha Sherratt is Transformation Director at the Urostomy Association. She has a wealth of experience from a career spent predominantly in the voluntary sector, where she has specialised in communications, marketing, fundraising and senior leadership. She strives to ensure that clients’ voices are front and centre, wherever she works, and this principle is at the heart of the Urostomy Association’s new transformation programme.
