We’re excited to announce that Julie Mason-Wright, cover star of Spring 25’s Journal, has shared her incredible journey in My Weekly magazine (26 August 2025). Living with a urostomy since the age of four, Julie has never let it stop her from chasing her goals – from ballet and horse riding as a child, to later running half marathons, cycling 200 miles in a day, and even training as a Pilates instructor.
Julie’s story is a powerful reminder that life after urostomy surgery can be active, rewarding, and full of achievement. She also gives back through her work as a nurse in the hospital where she had her own surgery, proving that experience and compassion make all the difference.
