Communication matters

Following the revamp of our website, we’re also going to be making some changes to improve our other communication channels, such as our newsletters, as well as developing ways to build closer relationships between the Association and the healthcare professionals ideally placed to point their patients to the service we provide.

It’s great to see our Facebook community thriving – if you have a Facebook account and haven’t yet joined the group, just search Urostomy Association Members Group. We’re exploring other social media channels, too, with a view to developing our presence there. This needs careful planning because we are such a small team with lots of competing priorities, and it is only worth being on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc, if we have the time to create and post engaging content on a regular basis.

We know how much our members value the Journal and look forward to receiving it. As you can now read the Urostomy Association Journal online, we’d love to hear from you if you can help reduce our charity’s printing and postage costs by receiving an electronic version, which will be kinder to our planet, too. Please get in touch at (There’s no need to contact us if you want to continue to receive your copy of the Journal by post.)
