- June 1st 2019 – We hope to have a speaker from the Police Force talking about Keeping Safe.
- October 5th 2019 – This is our AGM. There will be no speaker but the floor will be given over to our members for discussion. It will be followed by a pre-booked buffet lunch (if required) This will be a very informal meeting and an ideal opportunity to get to know each other.
We hold three meetings each year and they are all held at Churchdown Community Association, Parton Road, Churchdown, Gloucestershire GL3 2JH. There is a very large car park and the meeting room is on the ground floor. Meetings begin at 10am with tea/coffee and a chance to chat to friends or speak to the invited supplier who will bring news of their latest products. The main business starts at 10.30 and usually end at noon. There is always a raffle and donations for this are always welcome.
We invite a variety of speakers to talk on matters related or unrelated to Urostomies and the Lead Stoma Nurse for Gloucestershire, who is a member of our Committee, usually attends the meetings. Other health professionals may well be present if their busy schedules permit.
The Cotswold Branch attracts membership from Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire but we will offer a very warm welcome to anyone who wishes to join us.
In addition to these meetings we have twelve trained visitors (male and female) who all have experience of urostomies. We provide 1:1 contact enabling you to talk through any problems or anxieties you may have either before or after your operation. We are able to talk to you on the telephone, visit you at home or in hospital 0r just meet up for coffee and a chat, whichever suits you.
We extend our welcome to all who wish to join us be they members, non-members, husbands, wives, partners, family or friends…come and meet us!
Please feel free to ring, e-mail or write to the Branch Secretary at any time for further information.
